Job Summary
Run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading product at each stop in the order designated by the Transportation Department Manager. Operate in a cross-dock model by picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empty trucks to the assigned lot. Assist occasionally with loading trucks, palletizing product, and performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and handle complaints professionally while following DOT regulations and pre-trip inspections.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Pass employment screening
- License to drive - valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Driving record that meets Company's minimum standard
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
- Ability to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility – overtime as required, weekends and holidays as business needs require
- Currently authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year customer delivery experience
- 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience
- 6 months Food and Beverage experience
- 2 years consistent work history
