Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting defects immediately. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT documentation. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Earn weekly compensation of $1,300–$1,600 with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and trailer spotting, starting at 25% of line haul.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
