Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting defects. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following hazmat and temperature-sensitive handling procedures, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT documentation. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Earn weekly pay ranging from $1,300 to $1,600 with additional compensation for detention, short haul loads, and trailer spotting. Requires a valid Class A CDL and high school diploma.
