Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement, general commodities, and specialized cargo on local routes with daily home time. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT documentation. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows while verifying bills of lading and collecting signatures. Assist with unloading, perform basic vehicle maintenance, and follow special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Earn weekly compensation ranging from $1,300 to $1,600 with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and breakdowns.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
