Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting defects immediately. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul with a 90-day increase to 28%, plus additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and breakdowns.
