Operate Class A tractor-trailers to haul powdered cement on local routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting defects. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special hazmat handling procedures, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT documentation. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, increasing to 28% after 90 days, with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and breakdowns. All hourly work is paid straight time with weight ticket reimbursements at face value.
