Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to haul powdered cement on local routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting defects. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following hazmat and temperature-sensitive handling procedures. Maintain accurate HOS logs, verify bills of lading, and collect signatures. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, and perform basic vehicle maintenance including fluids and minor repairs. Keep trailers clean and ready for daily home time. Earn $1,300–$1,600 weekly with additional pay for detention, unload assistance, and short haul loads. Requires a valid Class A CDL and ability to pass DOT/FMCSA physicals.
