Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting defects promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance including fluids and minor repairs. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, with a 90-day increase to 28%, plus additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and breakdowns.
