CDL A Local and Regional Pneumatic Tank Drivers

Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting defects promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT documentation. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance including fluid checks and minor repairs. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, increasing to 28% after 90 days, with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and breakdowns. All hourly work is paid straight time, and the company covers initial HazMat certification costs. Drivers receive daily or weekend home time depending on the route, plus medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
