Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting defects promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs, verify bills of lading, and plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailers clean and ready. Earn weekly compensation ranging from $1,300 to $1,600 with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and trailer spotting.
