Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting defects promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following hazmat and temperature-sensitive handling procedures, then maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance including fluids and minor repairs. This role offers an average weekly pay of $1,300–$1,600 with a 90-day increase to 28% of line haul, plus additional stop, detention, and breakdown pay.
