Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement, general commodities, and specialized cargo across local routes with daily home time. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report defects, and load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs, verify bills of lading, and plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows. Conduct basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailers clean. Earn weekly compensation ranging from $1,300 to $1,600 with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and trailer spotting. International LT trucks are fully equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and TV.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
