CDL A Local and Regional Pneumatic Tank Drivers

Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting defects or accidents promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs, verify bills of lading, and ensure all DOT/FMCSA documentation is complete. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows, and perform basic vehicle maintenance including fluids and minor repairs. Keep the trailer clean and ready for service. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, increasing to 28% after 90 days, with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and trailer spotting. Drivers receive daily or weekend home time depending on the route.
