CDL A Local and Regional Pneumatic Tank Drivers

Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport powdered cement and specialized cargo on local routes, performing pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting defects. Load, secure, and inspect cargo while following hazmat procedures, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT documentation. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, verify bills of lading, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Assist with unloading and handle trailer spotting or extra drop hooks as needed. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, increasing to 28% after 90 days, with additional pay for detention, short haul loads, and breakdowns. Drivers work daily home schedules with International LT trucks equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. HazMat certification is covered by the company.
