Job Summary
Operate commercial vehicles safely across intra-state and inter-state routes, adhering to all state and federal regulations, traffic laws, and hazmat transportation requirements. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of company equipment, ensure proper cargo securement, and load, unload, and secure freight as required. Maintain communication with dispatch while operating company-provided IT equipment to record ELD, VIR, trip, and dispatch information. Exhibit professional conduct with customers and team members, and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate and required endorsements. Complete mandatory onboarding, training, and assessments, including drug screening, background checks, and forklift certification.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Valid DOT physical
- Required endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Driving record reflecting no more than two moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must complete company onboarding process, including drug screening, background check, MVR, and PSP review
- Successful completion of new-hire training, including assessments, driving test, trailer combination test, and forklift test
- Minimum 21 years of age
