Job Summary
CDL A Flatbed Driver transporting steel service center products, ensuring CDL compliance, proper loading/weight distribution, securement, and protection of goods; perform fleet maintenance checks, utilize truck technology, maintain professionalism with customers and officials, practice safe driving, prepare for unloading, and report incidents; complete required training including JJKeller modules, ride-alongs, and field training to qualify for normal driving operations; diligent with attention to detail and reliable work history. Responsibilities include load management and securing loads to prevent shifting, weather protection of products, adherence to state and federal regulations, and ongoing communication with the Traffic Manager and law enforcement as needed. Compensation ranges hourly with PTO, medical, vision, dental, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- CDL with proper endorsements
- Driving Record
- DOT physical exam and drug test
- 6 months verifiable experience driving Class A vehicles
- Gearing Up program completion requirements
