Job Summary
CDL A Flatbed Company Driver for SME Logistics LLC. We haul fabricated steel across the Western U.S. from our West Jordan UT, Pocatello ID, Henderson NV, and El Mirage AZ facilities to construction sites in AZ, CA, NV, OR, UT, and WA, with back-haul loads returning near AZ and UT terminals. Drive returns to home with a focus on family life balance; starting pay per mile varies by tenure (.63 CPM practical miles, rising to .70 over 5 years) plus $50 tarping per load and regional hourly pay in UT/AZ for short hauls; benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, 8 paid holidays, and equipment upgrades. Requirements include Class A CDL, 1 year flatbed experience (2 years preferred), clean driving record, DOT physical and drug screen. Local moves in AZ/UT with occasional trips elsewhere in the U.S. and weekly home time.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- 1 year of Flatbed driving experience
- 2 years preferred
- No more than 2 moving violations in 12 months
- No speeding 15 MPH or more in 3 years
- No rollovers or abandonment
- Must pass DOT Physical and Drug Screen
