Job Summary
Instruct new trainees on loading, routing, logging, and cautious driving while inspecting trucks for safety and maintenance needs. Mentor drivers through efficient loading and unloading systems, verify accurate E-Logs, and ensure prompt deliveries. Drive an average of 2,500–3,000 miles weekly, operating in high traffic and long, irregular hours away from home. Maintain strict pick-up and delivery deadlines while building strong customer relationships. Requires a valid CDL-A with one year of experience and a safe driving record.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year or more of CDL-A experience
- Valid CDL-A
- Safe driving record
- Must be an experienced and safe CDL A driver
- Must be willing to spend long and irregular periods away from home, including holidays
- Must be willing to drive an average of 2,500–3,000 miles/week
- Must be willing to operate motor vehicle during high traffic situations
- Must be willing to experience long and irregular hours driving a tractor trailer
- Must meet strict pick-up and delivery deadlines
- Must be able to lift 48 pounds 50" high
- Must be able to carry 48 pounds 50 feet
- Must be able to push 65 pounds
- Must be able to pull 120 pounds of equipment
- Must be able to climb steps or ladder up to a height of 51"
- Must be able to climb on a single step 24"
- Must be able to maintain balance on level and un-level ground and at elevations
Desired Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement (preferred)
