Job Summary
CDL A Driver for United Rentals delivering equipment to customers locally, operating semi-trucks and trailers (low boys) per DOT classifications, performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining driver logs, providing excellent customer service as a company ambassador, with home every night. Responsibilities include drop-offs/pickups, adhering to safety requirements, identifying additional equipment or supplies the customer may need, and performing other duties as needed. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and professional conduct in a leading equipment-rental environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
- Diligent attention to safety
- This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of company policies and procedures
