Job Summary
Drive commercial vehicles to transfer "Open Top" and "Compactor" containers of debris, metal, textiles, and unusable products from donation centers to local transfer stations and Goodwill locations. Operate roll-off trucks safely in inner city traffic, maintaining company vehicles and adhering to DOT rules and regulations. Transport processed goods to outlying stores, pick up special donations as requested, and report potential hazards or accidents to support a safety culture. Perform production worker functions when needed and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age to meet intra/interstate CDL driving rules
- 2 year's CDL driving experience or be a graduate of a State Certified and Licensed truck driving school
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to properly operate in-cab computer system for vehicle tracking and electronic logs
- Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service
- Current Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A
- Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the US Department of Transportation(DOT)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and alcohol test
- Proof of insurance with good record
- Must have a valid MVR (motor vehicle registration)
- Ability to use a mobile phone
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job
- Required to lift and carry items weighing up to 30-40 pounds
- Ability to adjust focus
- Maintain reliable attendance
