Job Summary
Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports. Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries. Drive tractor-trailers to destinations, applying commercial driving regulations and maneuvering skills on roads and customer premises. Maintain driver logs documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload trailers and deliver products to customer premises. Perform other duties as assigned. This role supports McLane's nationwide distribution network for restaurant, retail, and e-commerce clients, emphasizing safety and reliability in moving America's favorite brands.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
