Job Summary
Inspect tractor-trailers for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports. Review bills of lading, store keys, and drive tractor-trailers to destinations while applying commercial driving regulations. Maintain driver logs documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload trailers and deliver products to customer premises. Other duties as assigned. This role supports McLane's nationwide distribution network serving restaurant, retail, and e-commerce clients. Drivers earn $70,000 to $90,000 annually with a $7,500 sign-on bonus for those with 50K verified miles.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
