Job Summary
Inspect tractor-trailers for defects pre- and post-trip, submit DOT inspection reports, and verify bills of lading before off-hour deliveries. Drive commercial vehicles to destinations while adhering to regulations, then unload products at customer premises. Maintain driver logs documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions using Manual or Peoplenet. Submit keys for accuracy and perform other duties as assigned. Requires a valid Class A license, one year of verifiable experience, and strong English proficiency for safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
