Job Summary
Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports. Inspect bills of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries. Drive tractor-trailers to destinations, applying commercial driving regulations while maneuvering vehicles on roads and customer premises. Maintain driver logs documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload trailers and deliver products to customer premises. Perform other duties as assigned. This role supports McLane's nationwide distribution network serving restaurant, retail, and e-commerce clients.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
