Job Summary
Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports. Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries. Drive tractor-trailers to destinations, applying commercial driving regulations and maneuvering skills on road and customer premises. Maintain driver logs documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload trailers and deliver product into customer premises. Submit DOT inspection reports and maintain driver logs per regulations. Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
