Job Summary
Inspect tractor-trailers for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports. Review bills of lading, store keys, and drive tractor-trailers to destinations while applying commercial driving regulations. Maintain driver logs documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload trailers and deliver products to customer premises. Submit DOT inspection reports indicating vehicle condition. Drivers earn $65,000 to $90,000 annually in the first year with medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. Valid Class A license and one year of experience required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
