Job Summary
Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports. Inspect bills of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries. Drive tractor-trailers to destinations, applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering on roads and customer premises. Maintain driver logs documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload trailers and deliver products to customer premises. This role offers a pay rate of $70,000 to $90,000 annually, with most drivers earning over $100K plus a $7,500 sign-on bonus for those with 50K verified miles. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, and a 401(k) profit-sharing plan after 90 days. Candidates must hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license with at least one year of tractor-trailer experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
