Job Summary
Operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer on dedicated regional routes transporting freight between Rome, GA, Montgomery, AL, and surrounding markets. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, and accurately complete logs and transportation documentation. Safely deliver freight on schedule while communicating effectively with dispatch and operations personnel. Report equipment issues promptly and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maximize available miles and earning opportunities based on preferred schedule, with options to extend routes for additional income. Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License
- Must live within 50 miles of Rome, GA
- No DUI, DWI, or OWI convictions within the past 7 years
- No more than 1 non-serious moving violation within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years
- No more than 1 non-serious preventable accident within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 accidents within the last 2 years
- Ability to pass DOT employment, drug screening, and background requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred
- Drivers with 6 months of recent Class A experience may be considered
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
