Job Summary
Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer on dedicated regional routes between Rome, GA, and Montgomery, AL, transporting freight while completing pre- and post-trip inspections. Maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, accurately complete logs and documentation, and communicate effectively with dispatch. Deliver freight safely and on schedule, reporting equipment issues promptly and following all safety policies. Maximize available miles and earning opportunities by selecting additional loads or overnight runs to increase weekly income. This home daily position offers flexible scheduling for drivers living within 50 miles of Rome, GA, with consistent freight availability and the option to extend routes for higher pay.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License
- Must live within 50 miles of Rome, GA
- No DUI, DWI, or OWI convictions within the past 7 years
- No more than 1 non-serious moving violation within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years
- No more than 1 non-serious preventable accident within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 accidents within the last 2 years
- Ability to pass DOT employment, drug screening, and background requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred
- Drivers with 6 months of recent Class A experience may be considered
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
