Job Summary
Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer on dedicated regional routes between Rome, GA, and Montgomery, AL, transporting freight and delivering on schedule. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain DOT and FMCSA compliance, and accurately log transportation documentation. Communicate with dispatch, report equipment issues, and follow all safety policies while maximizing available miles and earning opportunities through additional loads or overnight runs. This home daily position offers flexible scheduling with weekly home time every day for drivers living within 50 miles of Rome, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License
- Must live within 50 miles of Rome, GA
- No DUI, DWI, or OWI convictions within the past 7 years
- No more than 1 non-serious moving violation within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years
- No more than 1 non-serious preventable accident within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 accidents within the last 2 years
- Ability to pass DOT employment, drug screening, and background requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred
- Drivers with 6 months of recent Class A experience may be considered
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
