Job Summary
Drive semis and stake trucks with a variety of trailer types, loading, transporting, and unloading industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Assist Foremen and Apprentices with industrial machine repair activities and general labor duties when not operating vehicles. Confidently operate industrial equipment including forklifts, man lifts, cranes, and other associated tools. Requires a valid CDL-A endorsement with air brakes and DOT medical card, plus one year of tractor-trailer operation experience. Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of tractor-trailer operation experience
- Valid CDL-A endorsement with air brakes and DOT medical card
- Experience in or willingness to learn rigging
- Ability to load, transport, and unload machinery and equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height
- Must be able to work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
