Job Summary
Operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer safely while conducting pre- and post-trip inspections and maintaining accurate logs. Deliver freight efficiently following established dispatch instructions and company safety policies, ensuring full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and local regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and safety personnel, reporting equipment issues promptly. Maintain professionalism while representing the company, with a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts offering home daily status and overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must live within 40 miles of Elwood, IL
- No DUI, DWI, or OWI convictions within the past 7 years
- No more than 1 non-serious moving violation within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years
- No more than 1 non-serious preventable accident within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 accidents within the last 2 years
- SAP drivers may be considered if the program has been successfully completed and driving privileges have been fully reinstated
- Ability to pass DOT employment, drug screening, and background requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred
- Drivers with 6 months of recent Class A experience may be considered
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
