Job Summary
Operate a tractor-trailer combination unit safely across regional routes, primarily in the Northeast with occasional runs to the Midwest and Southeast. Deliver no-touch, temperature-controlled (reefer) freight on schedule while conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is safe and road-ready. Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with Federal, State, and DOT regulations, communicating proactively with dispatch regarding route status or equipment issues. Uphold a clean driving record by adhering to safe driving practices at all times. Valid CDL-A license and 2 years of experience required; ability to lift 50 pounds and occasional 3–4 day trips away from home.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A Driver's License, maintained in good standing in your state of residence
- 2 years of experience operating a combination unit (tractor-trailer)
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, and DOT regulations
- Ability to pass all pre-employment testing, including DOT physical and drug screen
- No more than a combination of 3 minor moving violations or accidents
- Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to be away from home for occasional 3–4 day trips as needed
