Job Summary
Operate Class A tanker trucks, semi trucks, tank trailers, dry vans, and flat beds while planning trips for breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, and weather conditions. Safely and efficiently load and unload product according to company and customer instructions while following all FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and DOL policies. Manage unforeseen circumstances and sit for several hours at a time to make timely deliveries to customers. Work weekends, nights, and holidays as required, with weekly mileage fluctuating. Obtain Haz Mat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 1 year of verifiable driving experience
- 1 year of verifiable OTR or Local experience within the previous 7 years
- Tanker Endorsement
- Haz Mat endorsement (required within 60 days of hire)
- Ability to plan trips (breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, weather, traffic & construction, city and rural driving conditions)
- Ability to manage unforeseen circumstances
- Ability to sit for several hours at a time while operating equipment
- Ability to safely and efficiently load and unload product according to company and customer instructions
- Availability for weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to follow all government, company & customer policies and regulations (FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, DOL)
- Must be able to obtain Hazardous Materials endorsement within 90 days
- 21 years of age
- No more than 1 chargeable accident within the last 3 years
- No more than 3 jobs in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in the last three years
- Successful completion of a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Successful completion of a DOT physical
- Successful completion of a background check
- Successful completion of functionality testing
