Job Summary
Operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, and groceries to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Build relationships with customers using a positive, friendly attitude to meet their operational needs and expectations. Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a driving record meeting Company insurability standards and demonstrate the ability to read, speak, and respond to inquiries in English. Handle touch freight by lifting, pushing, or moving product weighing 40-60 pounds repeatedly. Work a four-day week Monday through Saturday with overnight stays required weekly, while remaining flexible for overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Pass employment testing
- valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- driving record that meets Company insurability standards
- ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
- ability to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly
- Must be available to work a set schedule Monday through Saturday (Saturday is always a return day)
- All routes require 1 Overnight stay a week
- Flexibility – overtime as required, weekends and holidays as business needs require
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year customer delivery experience preferred
- 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred
- 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred
- 2 years consistent work history preferred
