Job Summary
Operate a tractor-trailer to deliver meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Manually unload products and build relationships with customers using a positive, friendly attitude to meet their expectations. Touch freight requiring lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing 40-60 pounds repeatedly, with some routes necessitating an overnight stay weekly. Work a four-day week Monday through Saturday with overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Pass employment testing
- valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- driving record that meets Company insurability standards
- ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
- ability to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language
- ability to respond to official inquiries
- ability to make entries on reports and records
- ability to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly
- Must be available to work a set schedule Monday through Saturday
- Saturday is always a return day
- 1 Overnight stay a week
- Flexibility – overtime as required
- weekends and holidays as business needs require
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year customer delivery experience preferred
- 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred
- 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred
- 2 years consistent work history preferred
