Job Summary
CDL A Delivery Driver at US Foods in Madison, WI. Safely drive trucks to customers, unload with a two-wheeler/pallet jack or by hand, verify delivery with customers and obtain signatures, handle payments when applicable, and provide professional customer service to enhance the client experience. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Drive 4 shifts of 10 hours (2am start, Mon-Fri) with overtime after 10 hours; base pay around $34.04/hour with a $5,000 retention bonus. Requires CDL A, 21+, and prior driving experience (6 months overall or 3 months in food/bev). Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
