CDL A Delivery Driver

Job Summary
Operate commercial vehicles safely in compliance with traffic laws while loading and unloading scrap metal with proper weight distribution. Plan and follow designated delivery routes to minimize travel time, conduct routine vehicle inspections, and adhere to all safety protocols including PPE usage. Complete required documentation such as delivery logs and bills of lading, maintain professional customer interactions, and communicate effectively with dispatch teams. Handle scrap materials environmentally responsibly and report any vehicle issues promptly to maintenance. Work five days a week on day shift with PTO accruing from day one.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record
- Minimum of [5] years of commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials
- Ability to strap own load
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Five days a week, day shift, Monday through Friday
- Weekends off for a work-life balance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience pulling doubles very helpful but not needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
