Job Summary
Haul lawn and garden freight in dry van trailers with 100% no-touch and 75% drop-and-hook freight. 5-10 loads per week with 1-2 stop-offs per load. Drive within the Midwest, Northeast and South. Pay includes mileage pay plus hourly pay while on duty, weekly performance pay, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for experienced drivers (and $2,000 for inexperienced) paid over 12 monthly payments in the first year. Also includes paid orientation, PTO after 6 months plus 6 holidays, annual bonus up to 2% of annual gross pay, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match). Home time is weekly. Requires a valid CDL-A and residence within 60 miles of Gary, IN; Green Bay, WI; or Urbandale, IA. The role is a full-time driver position with Schneider’s driver-focused culture, E-Verify employment eligibility, and support for accommodations under the ADA.
