Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring hours of service, and keeping logs accurate. Transport dry van freight across Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina on a settled lane structure, hooking and going on preloaded, no-touch loads. Verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly, and complete bills of lading. Represent the client professionally at customer locations, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report mechanical issues promptly. Home weekly with night running shifts dispatching between 20:00 and 03:00. Hiring within 75 miles of Raleigh, Apex, Wake Forest, and Charlotte, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Meeting all Department of Transportation qualification requirements
- Holding a current DOT medical certification
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Acceptable safety history
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Compliance with all federal testing requirements throughout employment
- Hiring within 75 miles of Raleigh, Apex, Wake Forest and Charlotte, NC
