Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on a dedicated regional route across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio, running multi-stop deliveries averaging three stops per load. Manually unload freight from the trailer and place boxes onto a roller conveyor belt at each delivery point while maintaining accurate logs and staying compliant with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Communicate with dispatch to confirm routes, delivery windows, and on-road issues, securing and handling freight properly to prevent damage. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections while following all safety protocols during loading, driving, and unloading. Earn $320 per unload with an average weekly gross between $1,670 and $2,020, working a 34-hour reset schedule with consistent home time from Friday through Saturday or Saturday through Sunday. Experienced drivers ride with a mentor for the first three loads.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable SOLO tractor-trailer driving experience
- Acceptable driving record; no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI within the past 5 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physically able to manually unload freight at delivery stops
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during unloading
- Reliable communication with dispatch throughout each shift
