Job Summary
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations in the Metro-Detroit area. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer. Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies. Secure and handle freight properly. Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members. Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times. Work Monday through Friday, Monday–Friday with potential weekends, 50–60 hour work weeks, both 1st and 2nd shift available.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL
- 6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the last year
- Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history
- No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Strong time management & communication skills
