Job Summary
Haul steel and industrial products across regional routes using Conestoga trailers, securing loads with straps and chains only. Deliver safely and on time to customers across the US while handling paperwork and communicating with dispatch. Run 2000-2500 miles per week, typically for 1-3 weeks at a time with the goal of getting home each week. Possess a valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience and 6 months flatbed or Conestoga experience. Maintain a clean MVR and FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse record. Kim-Tam Logistics supports the metals and construction industries with a focus on safety, service, and long-term stability.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of experience with tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 ft
- Possess a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months as determined by company policy and applicable regulations
- Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no violations prohibiting operation of a commercial motor vehicle
- Applicant consent to both pre-employment and ongoing Clearinghouse queries as required by law
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months flatbed or Conestoga experience
- Experience hauling steel or oversized freight
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMSCA safety standards
