Job Summary
Haul steel and industrial products locally while operating a commercial tractor trailer combination on a multi-axle (8 axle) Conestoga flatbed trailer. Secure loads with straps and chains without tarping, deliver safely and on time to customers across the US, and handle paperwork and dispatch communication as needed. Perform other duties as required while maintaining a valid Class A CDL and 2+ years of commercial tractor-trailer experience. This role features day shift delivery with home every night and weekends, starting pay of $30.62 per hour increasing to $32.23 at six months, plus annual merit increases, paid vacation, and a 401(k) match. Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 2+ years of experience operating commercial tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 feet
- Possess a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months
- Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no violations prohibiting operation of a commercial motor vehicle
- Consent to both pre-employment and ongoing Clearinghouse queries
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months multi-axle flatbed or Conestoga experience
- Experience hauling steel or oversized freight
- Detailed knowledge of DOT/FMSCA safety standards
