Job Summary
Haul general chemicals and compressed gas from Calvert City, KY to destinations across the 48 States and Canada using automatic trucks. Maintain a valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, including one year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience and six months of tanker experience. Adhere to a regional schedule of three to four days out, with occasional long-hauls to the West Coast or Canada requiring seven to nine days. Work 11 to 14 hours daily, averaging 2,200 to 2,700 miles weekly, while strictly avoiding violations involving intoxicating substances, preventable rollovers, or major accidents. Obtain a passport and TWIC card as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Tanker & Hazmat endorsements required
- Passport required (must be eligible to obtain, and may be acquired after hire)
- TWIC Card required (must be eligible to obtain, and may be acquired after hire)
- Past 7 years without: Driving violation involving the consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances
- Past 7 years without: A preventable rollover or fatality crash
- Past 3 years without: License suspensions involving drug and/or alcohol, or a record that would indicate a disregard for public safety
- Past 3 years without: A major preventable accident
- Past 3 years without: Two or more moving convictions
- Some weekend work required
- Expect to work 11-14 hrs per day
- Weekly mileage averages 2,200-2,700 miles
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months tanker experience preferred
