Job Summary
Cut pipe to length using a cutting machine, bend tubing with a bending machine, and prepare interfaces for welding. Perform manual TIG welding and orbital welding on tubing, apply electrolytic marking, and operate a pneumatic test bench to verify materials. Control piping with a Romer arm or drawing, identify defects, and implement corrective actions. Ensure workstation cleanliness, maintain first-level equipment, and verify qualifications before operations. Log activities in SAP and participate in five-minute meetings to drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- BEP or BAC PRO with ideally a piping/welding/fabrication orientation
- First professional experience in piping fabrication is a plus (soft cue, but listed under profile requirements)
- Reading of manufacturing instructions and drawings
- Use of bending machines and orbital welding machines
- Reading and following work instructions
- Setting up and operating machines according to instructions
- Reading definition plans
- Checking and taking measurements / using drawings
- Visual inspection of work performed
- Adherence to safety guidelines
- Ensuring operation traceability
