CDI Outsourcing Manager - Remote (Solventum)

Job Summary

Assume responsibility for outsourced CDI engagements, including supplemental and total outsourced programs, while assisting Consulting Services in obtaining set revenue goals. Monitor and manage relationships with contracted vendors, facilitating resolution of issues and conflicts. Directly supervise CDI staff to assure target quality and production levels through leadership, coaching, training, and development. Continually measure the effectiveness of CDI operations, identify areas for improvement, monitor trends, and develop plans of action for identified problem areas. Understand and enforce corporate policies, taking appropriate action to address violations. This role requires up to 50% travel and is based in the US.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years of acute care CDI management experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Eleven (11) years of acute care CDI management experience
  • CCDS certification
  • Valid RN license
  • Minimum of five (5) years acute care experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
  • Must not perform work in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in HIM, Nursing, or other healthcare clinical background from an accredited institution
  • 10+ years in management of CDI or Health Information Management (HIM) services consulting or coding functions in mid-to-large size acute care hospital setting or 10+ years in management of outsourced CDI group
  • Strong ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, ICD-10-CM/PCS Coding Guidelines and DRG methodologies experience
  • Working knowledge of risk-adjusted methodologies (e.g., APR DRGs) and quality of care measures (e.g., HACs, PSIs)
  • Deep understanding of clinical documentation, medical record coding, healthcare billing and revenue cycle management
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, with an absolute focus on quality of work
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work independently and produce excellent results
