Job Summary
Review designated cases and provide ongoing educational outreach to clinical providers. Collaborate with vendor partners to conduct physician and coding audits, ensuring timely reporting and communication of findings. Design instructional tools to facilitate efficient coding processes and streamline training across clinical departments. Serve as the primary liaison between clinical providers and the coding team to enhance documentation accuracy and billing compliance. Analyze denied claims to determine causes and execute corrective measures. This role requires a strong background in health information management or clinical documentation integrity. The position is based on-site at Great Plains Health in an office environment with frequent interruptions.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials required within 12 months of hire
- CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based)
- AHIMA CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- AAPC
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in health information management or similar field
- Clinical background-LPN, RN, Case Manager, Clinical Documentation Integrity, or Outpatient Coder with 3+ years of experience
