Job Summary
Assess and treat critically ill or injured adult and pediatric patients during inter-facility transportation while adhering to the Registered Nurse scope of practice and CCT standardized procedures. Utilize critical thinking to manage complex cases, support physician orders, and act as team leader to maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, ensuring regular equipment checks and stock management. Maintain required certifications including ACLS, PALS, BLS-C, and obtain PHTLS and NRP within six months of hire. Requires current RN license, valid driver's license, and minimum two years of ICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Driver's License
- Current Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN or 5 years ED/CCT/Cardiac/Trauma RN experience (Non-negotiable)
- Current ACLS, PALS, BLS-C (or equivalent) provider status
- PHTLS and NRP Provider Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
- ICS courses, refer to FEMA - IS-100B (ICS 100), IS-700A (NIMS)
- Critical care inter-facility transfer experience; CEN, CCRN, TNCC or ENC Certification; BTLS/PHTL
