Job Summary
Perform maintenance, repair, cleaning, and sensor change-outs on gas monitoring systems and equipment, returning units to active status within established time. Execute calibration procedures on gas monitors and install service and repair cabinets for confined-space communications. Complete all inspection and repair documentation, obtaining customer signatures where necessary, while maintaining clean work areas and staging equipment for delivery. Conduct job completion routines, ensure proper PPE usage, and communicate with crew during operations. Operate atmospheric monitoring meters and radios while working outdoors in an industrial environment. Valid driver's license, TWIC card, and respiratory protection certification required. Previous oil and gas refining experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license from state of residence
- TWIC card
- Proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility and customer required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Trained in Respiratory Protection
- Fully certified to wear respiratory breathing equipment (Fit Tested)
- Ability to quickly grasp training and pass certifications to work in-plant
- Ability to operate equipment including atmospheric monitoring meters (O2, H2S, CO & LEL)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to quickly become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment
- Must be able to work outdoors in an industrial environment
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in oil and gas refining plant
- Familiarity with plant equipment where work is being performed
- High School Diploma or GED
